Israel and Hamas agreed on Thursday to extend the truce for a seventh day. The Israeli military said it had taken the decision "in light of the mediators' efforts to continue the process of releasing hostages, and subject to the terms of the agreement." Hours later, the Israel Prison Service confirmed the release of 30 Palestinians in the sixth such release under a truce agreement with Hamas.
