After Hamas violated the ceasefire on Friday morning, Israel reduced the amount of humanitarian aid it enters the Gaza Strip – contrary to the US position. During the lull, about 200 aid trucks entered Gaza daily, in addition to four truckloads of fuel and four truckloads of cooking gas. The US administration has announced in recent days that it expects that even after the ceasefire ends, Israel will continue to bring aid of this magnitude into Gaza.

Today, after the resumption of fighting, only several dozen trucks of humanitarian aid entered the southern Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing. The humanitarian aid consisted only of water, food, and medical equipment. According to the Coordinator of Activities in the Territories, the aid trucks were brought in "at the request of the American administration and with the approval of the political echelon" and that "all the equipment was inspected before entering Gaza at the Nitzana crossing."
