In the army, you decided to go big, and if you already served then it should be significant as an armored officer and officer. You had a lot of plans, you were supposed to be released in two months.
"Your grandparents were taken to Auschwitz and their family members were murdered by the Nazis. They were the ones who established the state and the army you went to, in the war that was forced on us two months ago, you went into battle out of a sense of mission, that you and the soldiers with you are defending the country and us. I call on everyone to complete the work for which you paid and we paid a high price.
"To completely destroy Hamas, to release the hostages, to restore security. With them, you will surely come before the throne of honor and you have a mission: beg together with your grandparents before G-d to put an end to our troubles and bring peace to the land."

Rabbi Aharon Filber, a rabbi at the Karnei Shomron Yeshiva High School, where Eitan studied, eulogized him: "Eitan from the top and up, as your name is, yes your glory. Always speak politely and humbly to every person without sacrificing your principles. You have always been very dedicated. We parted, after a few minutes, in such a typical way you came and said to me: I so appreciate you thinking of me. How sensitive, how humble. We loved you very much, we love you always."
