A teenager was fatally stabbed on Friday, December 8 in Valenton (Val-de-Marne) and a homicide investigation has been opened, we learned from the Créteil prosecutor's office and police sources, confirming information from Le Parisien. At this stage, there is "no notion [that it is] a brawl between gangs," the prosecutor's office said.
The teenager was fatally stabbed on his way to a date on a website to sell a pair of jogging pants, according to a police source. According to the source, an altercation broke out between him and five other people and he was fatally stabbed in the thigh.
A magistrate on duty went to the scene, the Créteil prosecutor's office added. The investigation has been entrusted to the Val-de-Marne departmental judicial police department.
