University of Pennsylvania Board of Trustees (UPenn) Chairman Scott Bock wrote to colleagues this evening: "I am writing to share with you that President Liz Magill has voluntarily tendered her resignation. She will remain a full faculty member at the School of Law. On behalf of the entire Penn community, I would like to thank President Gil for her service to the University as President and wish her all the best."
