The Binyamin Regional Council said it shares in the Lavi family's deep sorrow over Zvika's fall in battle to defend the state. Council head Yisrael Gantz also eulogized:

"Zvika is a priceless man, another jewel that fell on the holiness of God and the land, one of Benjamin's best sons. He joins the saints and heroes who left home and family and gave themselves up for the sanctification of God in this war. We share in the terrible sorrow of the family, and pray that the Almighty will send them relief and comfort and heal their pain."
