Golani Brigade Commander Colonel Yair Plai made contact Wednesday evening with the Golani Brigade fighters and addressed them with strengthening and purposeful words: "The Golani Brigade, here is Kodkod. We are in the midst of an iron sword war that has been going on for two months. Leading the division and the IDF at the forefront," he began.

He referred to the brigade's casualties in the battles in the Gaza Strip: "For the past week and a half, we have been fighting the Sajaiya Murderers Battalion. Last night, we took a hit. A painful blow. We lost good friends, heroic fighters and commanders, who with their bodies prevented the kidnapping of our fighters. Hanukkah is a holiday of Jewish heroism, a holiday of victory, and at the base of our people's heritage."
He went on to strengthen his subordinates: "We are the People's Brigade, the Heroes' Brigade, and you are heroes! You are the generation of victory, and we all understand that it is either us, or them. The legacy of our heroic friends is sharp and clear. We're moving forward. There will also be time for pain, now we are fighting. Golani stations here are at the top, until victory, at the end."
The Golani Brigade bows its head, participates in the grief of the families and will work to perpetuate the legacy of the fallen – until victory.
