The family of Joshua Luito Mulal, a 21-year-old agriculture student, was informed Wednesday evening that he had been murdered and his body was being held by Hamas. Joshua, 21, arrived in Israel two weeks before 7 October and worked at the Nahal Oz cowshed on the morning of the massacre.

The Hotline for Migrants and Refugees said that today Joshua's father learned that his son had been murdered, and that his body was in the hands of Hamas in Gaza. It was also reported that the father's questions about the source of the information about his son's death remained unanswered, and that he refused to believe the bitter news. "We share the pain of Loito and the entire Mullal family. We hope that the state authorities will provide Loito with an explanation of the source of the information. We will continue to accompany the Mulal family," said HaMoked

Joshua, Loito Mulal Luiso Mulal came to Israel from Tanzania as part of an agricultural training program that takes place as part of a cooperation between the two countries. He arrived in Israel only 10 days before Black Saturday, and had not yet begun his studies. While in Israel, he worked in the cowshed of Kibbutz Nahal Oz.

"He told me that he started enjoying life in Israel," Joshua's father, Loito, recently shared with Walla, "He decided to study agriculture in Israel, because it was a good way for him to establish himself financially. Joshua is very kind, polite and he is also a very diligent worker."

Loito said that his last conversation with his son was two days before Black Saturday, and that he had heard about the events of October 7 on the news and from the Internet. "I'm still in a very bad state, I haven't been able to function since that day. In the last conversation we had, I told him to keep on the right track when he was out of the country. We talked about the fact that he has to work diligently and study well . It wasn't until three weeks after October 7 that I realized that my son had probably been kidnapped when the Israeli government announced that Hamas was holding abductees in Gaza." Reconstructed Loito.

Last week, Luito Mullal spoke to Walla and shared his frustration that officials had not informed him whether his son was expected to be released on the deal or not. "Imagine how you would feel if this happened to your son. People from other countries were released in the deal and now I feel great sadness and anger that he was not released in the deal as well," Loito shared.
