"As the holiday break begins in Hollywood, I have some news for you," Bialik wrote. "Sony has informed me that I will not continue with the program. I am proud to be nominated for an Emmy and grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Jeopardy family," she wrote.

"Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this incredible journey, to the fans, contestants, writers and staff of America's beloved quiz show, thank you," she concluded in an Instagram post.

Bialik was among the first celebrities to publicly condemn the October 7 massacre of Hamas. Two days after the massacre, she issued a statement saying that she was "praying for the peace of Jerusalem and Israel, for the abducted civilians, and for our soldiers – my family among them – who defend our right to exist."

In recent weeks, the actress' Instagram page has been filled with content supporting Israel. On the background of a photo of herself from the Western Wall, she wrote, "My heart is big. My heart can contain love for Israel, the homeland of the Jewish people. My heart feels the tremendous pain and terror that Israelis are experiencing right now, and I share that pain with them. My heart feels fear, because anti-Semitism is rampant in the world and the end is not in sight. My heart feels outrage at the lack of total global support for the speedy release of the hostages taken by Hamas – the terrorist organization that threatens Israelis and Palestinians alike. My heart is able to contain all of this. Is your heart too?"
