The commander of Battalion 7007 spoke out against IDF Radio broadcasts during the war with harsh words: "A drop of consciousness of national strength was not there" • The IDF's response will be brought when it is received

Lt. Col. (res.) Maoz Schwartz, commander of Battalion 7007, criticizes IDF Radio and claims that the station should "strengthen" national resilience in the war.

Schwartz, an educator at Yeshiva Amit Yigal Ashdod who is on reserve duty, listened to Army Radio on Sunday morning and described on his Facebook account: "Just terrible. How gloomy, dark, sad. How hopeless, how much death. A drop of national strength was not there."

"Is this how a unit in the IDF wants to win a war? And maybe she doesn't want to," Schwartz attacked the military station. "Hello Army Radio! What's happening to you? You have a weapon in your hand! Strengthen national resilience or kill it, and if you can't, change! Quick!"

The senior officer elaborated on what he thinks IDF Radio broadcasts should focus on in the midst of an iron sword war: "So what is? To strengthen the people, to talk to them at the level of the soul and not at the level of the floor, to increase the aspiration for real victory and not full of imagination, to increase the aspiration for leading, eternal values.

"To accustom the nation to a deep and long-term perspective rather than a superficial and short-term view. Don't say the people aren't there. The people are there! The people thirst for size, for horizon, for a sense of mission. That's how wars are won," Schwartz added.

The responses of the IDF Spokesperson and Army Radio will be published when received.
