Biden administration officials are considering various options for targeting the Houthis in Yemen after the latest strikes over the weekend, two U.S. officials told Politico. According to the report, the Pentagon recently moved the aircraft carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower from the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Aden off the coast of Yemen. The goal is to support the U.S. response to possible attacks, according to one of the officials. According to him, the US military has provided options for commanders to attack the Houthis.
On the other hand, the website noted that the Biden administration is reluctant to respond militarily to Houthi attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea.
