Taglit said that the tours in Israel will take place under strict safety and security standards set by the Home Front Command. In addition, all Taglit groups will undergo training prior to the trip. "Birthright is committed to providing participants with a safe and meaningful experience that they may need now more than ever," the organization added.
Gidi Mark, CEO of Birthright Israel, said, "Along with a fun and meaningful experience, we want our participants to understand what happened on October 7 and gain meaningful insight into how the events have impacted Israeli society and Jewish communities around the world, and how our Jewish lives and values help us find hope in these dark times."
Taglit-Israel is the world's largest educational tourism organization that has changed the lives of 850,000 young Jews aged 18-26 who came on a 10-day educational tour of Israel.
