The police opened an investigation into the circumstances of a murder at the entrance to Taybeh on Thursday evening, during which Yusef Rifat Haj Yahya, a 21-year-old resident of the city, was shot dead in his car.Yahya was found shot in his car at the entrance to the city and from there was evacuated by Magen David Adom staff to the Kfar Saba Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Central District Commander Major General Avi Biton conducted an assessment of the situation at the scene, together with the District Command and the Sharon District, in which they reviewed the forensic findings collected at the scene. After the assessment, he instructed that the investigation be conducted by the Sharon District Crime Fighting Unit, alongside increased searches to locate the perpetrators of the offense and the continuation of operational activity in the city.
The Abraham Initiatives report that since the beginning of 2023, 238 Arabs have lost their lives in circumstances related to violence and crime. Of these, 228 are civilians, and ten are non-citizens.
