For the quick last-minute gift from the kitchen "coconut-almonds" with you need three ingredients:

Roasted almonds don't always have to be coated with a layer of caramel. With white chocolate and desiccated coconut, it becomes exotic, as the simple recipe shows. © Sandra Keck/ Simply Tasty

  • 400 g almonds, whole
  • 200 g white couverture or chocolate
  • 200 g desiccated coconut

The preparation is simple and, above all, quick:

  • Roast the almonds in a pan without fat over medium heat until fragrant. Allow to cool completely.
  • Melt the white couverture over a bain-marie.
  • Dip the almonds in the melted chocolate and then toss them in the desiccated coconut. Alternatively, place the shredded coconut together with the chocolate-coated almonds in a sealable container and shake until the almonds are completely covered with the coconut flakes.
  • Line the coconut almonds on a baking tray lined with baking paper and let dry.
  • Simple Tasty Tip: The almonds can also be baked in advance in the oven or air fryer at 160 °C for six to eight minutes. This makes them particularly aromatic and does not burn as quickly as when prepared in a pan.
