HOT customers received a notice on Monday that they are entitled to join the NEXT TV app for free, which includes channels and a wide range of series and movies for viewing on mobile or computer for 37 days, following a settlement in a class action lawsuit.
HOT customers received the following in the afternoon: "Dear customer, pursuant to a class action settlement, you have a credit amount to redeem free of charge for 12 months, by selecting the following benefit: Free joining the NEXT TV app that includes channels and a wide range of series and movies to watch on mobile or computer for 37 days." This is a ruling that was approved back in February, and now we have updated the customers on the compensation that was decided upon. The lawsuit was filed in 2019.

The court then approved a settlement in a motion to approve a class action lawsuit against the telecommunications company, arguing that HOT did not notify subscribers under fixed-term transactions that their subscription fees would increase after the end of the discounted price period. It was then decided that those eligible would receive a credit for the company's products.
Following a settlement approved by the Central District Court, it was decided that HOT subscribers would receive benefits totaling NIS 10 million. The Settlement Agreement applies to HOT customers whose monthly subscription fees increased following a pre-agreed period in which they paid reduced subscription fees during the period from June 12, 2012 to March 1, 2020.
