The fall of the late Shauli Greenglick in the battles in the Gaza Strip sent chills to an entire country on Tuesday night. The video clip of his audition auditioned for the reality show "The Next Star" when he sang Hanan Ben Ari's song "Blind Bat", flooded with feelings of permanent missed opportunity and did not leave a single dry eye in Israel. Hours after the bitter news of Greenglick's death, Eden Hasson posted a screenshot on his Instagram account of two messages Greenglick sent him; One in September last year and a new one just two weeks ago. Hasson, who did not respond to messages in real time, now did so with a broken and aching heart.

"Listen, you're a star. Looking forward to sharing a stage with you," Shauli Lasson wrote in a private message last September. About two weeks ago, he sent another message to Hasson in which he wrote, "Of course maybe," apparently in response to the content Hasson posted at the time.

Hasson did not reply to Greenglick at the time, but last night he did so symbolically and shared with his followers a text that came out of the depths of his heart. "I wish you were with us. I would share with you what you would only choose. Thank you for what you have done for the country. You didn't deserve to go. You were supposed to live a full and happy life. In our brief acquaintance you were a happy person.
"Hope you're well upstairs. Your soul will be bound in the bundle of life," he concluded with a broken heart emoji. In light of the conversation, Hasson shared his difficult feelings in light of the tragedy and wrote: "It hurts me."
