Highlights: Eliezer Groisfish, a reserve soldier in the 98th Division, and Shlomo Peretz, a resident of Harish, stole the weapons from the Lipkin base. Peretz was arrested a few weeks ago when a grenade chain, a soft slingshot launcher grenade and hundreds of other bullets were found in his car. The State Prosecutor's Office requested that the two be remanded in custody until the end of the proceedings. This involves harming the personal security of the citizens of the state when ammunition and grenades pass into unskilled hands, as well as harming the security forces that were present in the combat zones.

An indictment was filed today (Thursday) in court against Eliezer Groisfish, a reserve soldier in the 98th Division, a resident of a successful moshav, on suspicion of weapons offenses after he was in possession of a chain containing 31 machine gun grenades. The indictment also attributes weapons offenses to Shlomo Peretz, a resident of Harish, who was holding the grenade chain in his car.

According to the indictment, following the war, Groisfish was drafted into the reserves and stationed at the Lipkin camp belonging to the 98th Division. On normal days, there are no weapons in the camp, except for "bullets". Due to the war, various weapons, including machine gun grenades, were transferred to the camp.

A few weeks ago, Shlomo Peretz was arrested in um al-Fahm when a grenade chain, a soft slingshot launcher grenade and hundreds of other bullets were found in his car. When a fingerprint check was conducted on the grenade chain, Groisfish's fingerprints were found, and he was also arrested.

The State Prosecutor's Office requested that the two be remanded in custody until the end of the proceedings, noting that "the defendants carried and possessed, inter alia, grenades and IDF ammunition stolen from a military base and intended for combat zones. This involves harming the personal security of the citizens of the state when ammunition and grenades pass into unskilled hands, as well as harming the security forces that were present at the time in the combat zones and those weapons were intended for their use."

During interrogation, Groisfish denied what was attributed to him but did not give an explanation for the presence of his fingerprint on the grenade and even denied touching the grenades. Peretz, on the other hand, admitted that the ammunition seized belonged to him, but denied carrying the grenades. He said he did not know how they got to his car.
