Major Dvir David Fima, 32, from Kfar Yona, deputy commander of Battalion 198 of the Bnei Or Brigade (460), fell yesterday in battle in the central Gaza Strip.

He is survived by his wife and baby. Just last week, he met his father for the first time after more than 50 days of fighting. Eliran, his cousin, eulogized him: "The Lord gave the Lord a lesson, my dear cousin. Hero of Israel. Pride of the family. Salt of the earth. Thank you for what you have done for everyone.
