Wishing a Better New Year: All Special Meals in Restaurants | Israel Hayom

Highlights: Ritz-Carlton Hotel offers a special dinner with a closed menu that includes six chef's dishes. Yuval Naria's serves a ten-course tasting menu for two that will be served to the center of the table. Villa Mare in Tel Aviv and Bat Yam mark Novy God modestly this year. Tasting from the menu: local lamb chops, freaky stuffed onions and roasted Baby Jim lettuce. The kosher bistro in Modiin offers a meal with no minimum order with specials such as ceviche pani puri.


While we won't be celebrating New Year's Eve this time, we will keep our fingers crossed that 2024 will be more successful than the previous one • For those who want to break the routine a bit and relieve some tension on the evening of January 31 - here are some restaurant suggestions that mark the date with special menus and special events • All in the spirit of the times


Ritz-Carlton Hotel

On December 31, the Herzliya hotel offers a special dinner with a closed menu that includes six chef's dishes (refreshing palate, two cold dishes, a fish dish, a main course and a dessert) and a cocktail. For NIS 450 per diner you get, among other things, red tuna tartare (avocado fan, blood orange sorbet, roasted brioche, citrus ponzo, herb oil, coconut chips); deconstructed goose salad and melon (peach vinaigrette, crispy lettuce, shallot, candied ginger, fresh pineapple and ice flakes); locus fillet (crispy zucchini "scaly", garden vegetables, Jerusalem artichoke cream); and lamb chop and beef fillet (colorful carrot gratin, Chinese black peas, espresso broth).

Lola Martin

The restaurant in Herzliya will receive 2024 with unique dishes based mainly on the fresh daily fish, including Cuban sea fish (NIS 59); Ataif Yam (59 NIS); Martin Potomaki roll (salmon, tuna, avocado, cucumber, sweet potato and campio covered with salmon eggs - 62 NIS); Lola Roll (salmon, avocado, cucumber and asparagus covered with tuna - 62 NIS); and a Marakesh cigar (cigar leaves filled with lamb meat, veal almonds on tahini, amba, spicy tomato salad and arisa oil - 59 shekels).

Federic

The kosher bistro in Modiin offers a meal with no minimum order with specials such as ceviche pani puri (sea bream fillet, melon, chili, coriander, red onions, mint, candied pecans, olive oil and lemon juice - 71 NIS); veal almonds (fennel, arugula, mint, orange and tassos olives, placed on a bed of garlic cream and herb oil - 86 NIS); a marbled Flat Iron slice (alongside spinach and pea cream and a side dish of your choice - 61 NIS per 54 grams); And for dessert - Chocolate Bowl (nut brownies, patisserie cream, praliné mousse, streusel and hot chocolate sauce - NIS <>).

Villa Mare

The restaurants Villa Mare in Tel Aviv and Bat Yam mark Novy God modestly this year. Until January 20, they will serve a menu with traditional Russian dishes according to the family recipes of owner Alexander Druz, including blintzes accompanied by red caviar (NIS 85); Solyanka comforting soup (52 shekels); clotted leg (45 NIS); pelmeni (dumplings from Russian cuisine) with beef and lamb (75 NIS); "Shova" salad with herring and beets (48 NIS); and a classic Napoleon cake for dessert (45 NIS).

Santa Catarina

Tomer Agay's Tel Aviv restaurant presents a brand new menu that will be launched on New Year's Eve (first round starting at 19:00 with no minimum order, second round starting at 22:00 with a minimum order of NIS 300). Tasting from the menu: local lamb chops, freaky stuffed onions and roasted Baby Jim lettuce; nigiri from charred Persian rice, smoked tuna spicy and finger lime; and charcoal-grilled locus, white ravioli, wild fennel and cherry tomato ragu from the south.

Taizu

On December 31, Yuval Ben Naria's Taizu serves a ten-course tasting menu for two that will be served to the center of the table, at a price of 480 NIS per person for early seating (until 19:00), and 520 NIS per person from 19:15 onwards. Intros: steamed rolls (buffalo yogurt, tomato and eggplant chutney) and taizu tartar (sea fish, rice cone, black sesame, soy whipped cream and glider fish eggs). In the first: Chinese vegetables (soybeans, pak bong, bak choy, lemongrass, Chinese asparagus, mushroom sauce); Bengali carpaccio (local fish, curry leaf oil, fermented mustard seeds, papadam and crème fraiche); Spire rhubarb lamb (rice sheet, coriander, tamarind glaze, peanuts, cucumber and mint). Mains: Wild Yam fillet (coconut kfir lime crust, white butter and caviar) and beef fillet (organic vegetables, black truffles from the Golan Heights). And there are desserts, too, of course.

Nina Bianche

The kosher restaurant at Bilu Junction invites you to taste the New Year with specials by Chef Yarin Amira, who recently returned to the restaurant. On the special menu: Intias tartar (yellow beets on tangerine gazpacho - 75 NIS); corn polenta (80 NIS); seared bream (carrots glazed with lemon butter and sherry - 145 NIS); and a tropical millepay dessert (pineapple and passion fruit mango cremo, lemon and mint coli and champagne gel - 60 shekels).

Serafina

On New Year's Eve, Serafina Tel Aviv will offer specials that will be served in two rounds (19:00 to 21:00 - minimum NIS 250 per person; starting at 21:00 - minimum NIS 350 per person). On the menu: white fish sashimi (strawberry, chili and mint sauce); lamb chops (Jerusalem artichoke sauce, grilled vegetables and demi glas); fish for whole shine (roasted cherry tomato sauce, chili and garlic); and lemon tart (white chocolate and timenon).

Yauza

The Asian restaurant, located in the Serafina complex, will offer at exactly the same hours (first round without a minimum order, second round a minimum of NIS 400 per diner) specials such as tuna yucca (three types of fish in smoked sauce - red tuna, machi and salmon, along with avocado cream on a wonton leaf); Vigo (Vietnamese ragu in beef and root vegetable broth alongside homemade baguette); and pagoda dessert (layers of crunchy dough, matcha cream cream, coconut anglaise sauce and fresh strawberries).

Prefer to mark the New Year at home?

Totally legitimate. That's exactly why the Meat Meat Man chain is launching a package of wine and fresh meat, including two cuts of entrecote steak or beef fillet, a carpaccio and foie gras dish and a bottle of wine of your choice, at a price of NIS 300.

Until December 31, a pop-up shop by Free Spirits, the alcohol company that represents some of the world's leading manufacturers in Israel, will operate on the first floor of the Azrieli Sarona Mall. You can find Mexican tequilas such as ocho tequila, French gin seasoned with peaches, Italian Mancino vermouths, a variety of Barbados and Jameska Romans such as Appleton rum, gift boxes and cocktail making accessories such as shakers, glasses, etc.
