So far, since the beginning of the war, about 2,400 wanted Palestinians have been detained throughout the Judea and Samaria Division and the Jordan Valley Brigade, about 1,200 of whom belong to Hamas.
The current activity is part of a series of operations that has been taking place for more than two weeks in the Jenin area, which includes many activities of eliminating terrorists who endanger IDF soldiers, arresting wanted persons, closing tunnel shafts and confiscating large quantities of weapons.
Nur a-Shams refugee camp has been treated aggressively in recent months, even before the outbreak of the war. This is a refugee camp that has adopted the modus operandi of Jenin terrorists and militants, including planting IEDs on roads, firing at IDF forces, and declared intentions to carry out terrorist attacks in the West Bank and throughout the country.
