Fighters from the Oketz unit and their dogs from the Marom Brigade accompany the fighting forces in the Gaza Strip. In a large number of cases, the unit's dogs were sent for an initial search before the combat forces raided terrorist infrastructure, identified threats of various kinds, and thus prevented harm to our forces. In addition, the dogs map houses, locate weapons and explosives.
During a joint attack with fighters from the 460th Brigade's combat team in the Jabalia neighborhood, Fighter A sent his dog Patrick to scan the site before the forces entered the building. During the search, Patrick located a terrorist who had ambushed the forces at the entrance, neutralized him, and thus prevented an encounter.
In another activity in the Rimal neighborhood, when the dog Toy was scanned, a corridor was found that connected the building where the fighters were staying to another building where a terrorist was lurking. Toy neutralized the terrorist and thus saved the force from operating in a building that appeared to be acquitted.
