Highlights: "We always take the good ones": Res. Maj. Konstantin Sushko is laid to rest. The engineer fell over the weekend in battle at Al Bureij in the central Gaza Strip. His wife eulogized him: "How do we continue to breathe without you?", she asked. "It's like trying to drink water from a giant jerrycan and not stop," a friend wrote of him. "I remember you happy when we met in Panjoya, on the beach or in Husha in Sinai," another wrote.

Sushko, an engineer who fell in Gaza over the weekend, recently celebrated his 30th birthday and was supposed to fly to Berlin for a vacation, but canceled it in favor of reserve duty • His wife eulogized him: "How do we continue to breathe without you?"

Many family members and friends came to accompany the late Konstantin Sushko, a soldier in the 7086th Engineer Battalion that operated under the Golani Brigade, to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery, who fell over the weekend in battle at Al Bureij in the central Gaza Strip.

Sushko celebrated his 30th birthday at the end of November and was supposed to fly to Berlin for a vacation, but then the war broke out and he enlisted in the reserves, which caused the immediate cancellation of the flight. His partner Or said goodbye: "My mother, the last picture of you I took on Thursday when you came to surprise me. What a chasm opened between then and now. You are the love of my life. How do we continue to breathe without you in this world? How?"

His friend Noam Marom wrote on Facebook about him painfully: "Costa was a curious, smart guy full of joie de vivre. He always knew how to ask the right question, identify who needed help and help him with a big smile and break the ice in any classy situation. I am sure that this time too, he volunteered and strove forward as he always knew. When you say you take the good ones, that's absolutely true in your case. I remember you happy when we met in Panjoya, on the beach or in Husha in Sinai, I will remember you that way always. May the hero of Israel, rest in peace."

Samuel Clayten wrote of Costa: "It's like trying to drink water from a giant jerrycan and not stop. The heart can no longer contain this, allowed this publicity that constantly shrinks the heart, until it meets you personally and finishes you off another dear brother, another fallen friend, a hero of Israel. Remember the good old days of school, how much we used to help each other, how many Friday dinners we had together, how much we supported each other, how happy you were at my wedding and Tali's, may your memory be blessed, thanks to you we live."
