On Sunday, a day after experiencing a violent incident on the road on Hollywood Boulevard, actor Ian Ziering (former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star) addressed the terrifying experience for the first time, sharing his feelings and concern with his hundreds of thousands of Instagram followers about the rising violence and incompetence in handling it by authorities.
"Last night I experienced an alarming incident involving a group of people on motorcycles," Ziering, 59, began the lengthy post he shared with his 621,<> followers. "While I was stuck in traffic, one of those riders approached my vehicle aggressively, which led to a disturbing confrontation," he said of the confrontation, which quickly escalated into an exchange of punches and kicks that were caught on camera and found their way to the gossip site TMZ.

In an attempt to defend himself, Ziering found himself struggling for minutes with the attackers as he tried to escape them, all while his 12-year-old teenage daughter, who was in the car with him, watched in horror as the violence unfolded. Ziering added that he and his daughter, with whom he was filmed hugging after the incident weeping in his arms, emerged unharmed, but stressed that the incident left him deeply concerned about the escalating violence.
"This incident has left me deeply concerned about the increasing boldness of such groups disrupting public safety and security. This incident highlights a deeper issue of street bullying and the need for effective responses from law enforcement.

"As a citizen and as a parent, I feel it is unacceptable that groups can act this way freely and sow fear and chaos when the responses from the authorities seem insufficient. I have always been an advocate of standing up to threats and misconduct, and this incident reinforces my belief in the importance of personal and community safety. We need to address the fundamental problems that lead to such disruptive behavior and ensure that our streets are safe for everyone," he said.
