Highlights: Residents in the north: "Arouri's assassination can advance the war" | Israel Hayom. At the beginning of the campaign, residents of the north believed that within a short time a war would begin. As time passes, it seems that the residents will be able to return to their homes only in many months. "Everything that has been done here in the past three months is nothing, the clock has not yet begun to tick". The war in the North continues, but incidents along the border have remained within the confines of anti-tank fire at communities near the fence.

The war in the north continues, but incidents along the border have remained in recent days within the confines of anti-tank fire at communities near the fence. Many residents of the northern fence who were evacuated from their homes thought on Tuesday that the killing of Salah al-Arouri would start a war with Hezbollah the next morning. They committed suicide. The hourglass did not turn upside down, the situation remained the same.

If at the beginning of the campaign the residents of the north believed that within a short time a war would begin in the north, after which they would be able to return home, as time passes and with it the declarations and threats of both sides, it seems that the residents will be able to return to their homes only in many months.

Yesterday, a number of anti-tank missiles were fired at the areas of Zarit, Shlomi and Dubav, where a chicken coop was hit. In the Ramim area as well, anti-tank missiles were fired near Kibbutz Malkia and electrical infrastructure was damaged. In the afternoon it was a barrage of rockets fired at Shlomi and the surrounding area. In response, the IDF attacked a Hezbollah squad, and fighter jets attacked Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure. Hezbollah reported that two more terrorists had been killed, a total of 140 of its operatives since the beginning of the fighting.

Tzach Ashner, from Kibbutz Dafna, said, "The elimination of Arouri can advance the war, but the feeling is that if there is a war, we will be out for many more months, and there will be no agreement that will bring the return to our homes closer. We want to go back to Daphne and be safe. Perhaps the only way to do this is through war. My feeling is that the sector is going to heat up. The talk here is that unlike in the south, nothing has started yet, that in everything that has been done here in the past three months, the clock has not yet started ticking."

Itzik Marciano from Kiryat Shmona: "It seems that they may be trying to attract Hezbollah because they determine the height of the flames. I feel like they'll tell us, 'You'll be back home soon,' because it's all about money. All this must be financed, and a campaign against Hezbollah will be on a large area. Then they will tell us to go home. As for the communities adjacent to the fence, it's a different story. I don't know if they will come back.

"We have a short memory, but this is the first time I've considered leaving Kiryat Shmona. This has never happened to me. It seems that neither side has any desire to enter a war and we are stuck in the middle. And the leaders don't know how to get out of it, either."
