Israel Hayom has learned that the prime minister strongly opposes raising VAT by one percent in 2025 as proposed by the Ministry of Finance, and in general, Netanyahu opposes all tax increases. As part of the discussion, the prime minister approved across-the-board cuts in the budgets of government ministries, totaling 3.6 billion (plat), with each minister determining what he cuts in his ministry. Moreover, the prime minister gave the green light to a 2.5 billion cut in coalition funds.
