Sergeant Major Elkana Neulander, a 24-year-old reserve soldier from Efrat, fell in battle in Gaza. He volunteered to be a medic in the Egoz unit.

Council head Oded Revivi said: "As a volunteer at MDA, Elkana was a partner in the vaccination campaign, in contact with the veterans of the community and in ongoing assistance. Thanks to his mobilization, we were among the first to vaccinate most of the residents of the council. We will miss our smile, big heart and volunteer spirit."
