The Palestinian side praises South Africa for its lawsuit against Israel at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, saying that the legal process is "part of the struggle for the Palestinian cause." Some even praised South Africa for daring to do what no Arab country has done, noting that "this is a continuation of the campaign launched against Israel on October 7."

"On October 11, Israel collapsed militarily and intelligence, and today on January <>, it collapsed legally and morally," wrote a Palestinian user. "The pain is mixed with hope. It is painful that this step came from our brothers (in South Africa) while some of our brothers (in the Arab countries) participated in the crime against us," referring to the fact that the Arab countries did not go out to defend the Gaza Strip and did not stop the war.

Another network activist, Radwan al-Akhras, attacked the Arab countries for remaining silent and taking no initiative against Israel, while South Africa came to the defense of the Palestinians and achieved an unprecedented achievement. "The Arab armies, their tanks and planes did not move and did not act against the occupation. They abandoned Gaza, and some governments also conspired with the Zionist criminals. South Africa (which is neither Arab nor Islamic) was the bravest against the occupation compared to the Arab regimes that abandoned Gaza."

In central Ramallah, several dozen Palestinians gathered today and held a rally in support of South Africa against the backdrop of the discussion held in Bihad in The Hague. "Palestine thanks you and loves you," the leaders of the rally said in a message to South Africa, which was promoting the initiative to file a lawsuit against Israel in the ICC.

"We have come to thank South Africa for the important step against Israel to stop the war crimes being committed against our people in Gaza, and all the countries that joined the prosecution," said one of the participants in the rally. Children waved South African flags alongside the Palestinian flag and joined in the greetings. Later in the demonstration, participants called for lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip and opening the crossings.

The rally was held in the city's Nelson Mandela Square. The square was inaugurated at a festive event in the a-Tira district of Ramallah eight years ago with the participation of Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas, when a huge statue of Mandela was erected with funding from the Johannesburg municipality.

Despite the winter weather, members of the PLO leadership and representatives of the Palestinian factions, including Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh, came to the square to express their appreciation for the South African initiative. "The Palestinian issue is an issue of the entire free world. Israel is under charges of genocide in Gaza, on behalf of the PLO's member organizations and the entire Palestinian people, we commend you for defending human dignity and human rights. You who defeated the apartheid regime, we tell you: We will defeat it too," Shtayyeh said.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry monitored developments surrounding the discussion in The Hague. "This is a historic event in the Palestinian struggle," they announced. "The use of legal tools, institutions and international law is central to the strategy of the State of Palestine. South Africa's struggle against apartheid in its country qualifies it to be a country that defends international law against injustice and aggression."

Hamas said it praised South Africa's position and demanded that the ICC members "not give in to pressure from the American administration to stop the proceedings." Senior terrorist organization official Izzat Rishq expressed appreciation for South Africa's legal advisory team, saying that "the filing of the lawsuit shows the entire world the entanglement of the Zionist occupation in committing crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing of our people in Gaza."
