According to the proposal, a committee will be appointed, whose members will discuss the issue of all government ministries, and will recommend which of the ministries can be closed or merged with other ministries, and where the units handled by those ministries can be transferred. The upcoming state budget must undergo cuts of NIS 20 billion, although the closure of the ministries has no dramatic economic significance, but they have public significance and an important message to the public ahead of the cuts and belt tightening during wartime.
