Various restaurants and eateries across the country announced that they were joining the strike held today (Sunday) in solidarity with the 136 abductees who have been held captive in Gaza for 100 days. This came after Histadrut Chairman Arnon Bar-David announced that he was joining the initiative of the Headquarters of the Families of Abductees to shut down the Israeli economy for 100 minutes starting at 11:00 A.M., and called on all workers and employers to join and hold rallies in support of the families.

Ruti and Matti Brodo's R2M Group has announced that it is joining the strike. "It's time to stop," the group said in a statement. "On Sunday, as a sign of solidarity for the return of the hostages, we will close all our businesses at 11 a.m. for 00 minutes." Among the Group's businesses are Delicatessen and Bakery, Hotel Montefiore, Herzl 100 and Coffee Bar delivery services.

The Saba Boca Group, which owns the "Boka" and "Sunflower" cafes and Hummus Avigdor in Tel Aviv, also announced that it would donate all proceeds from all its businesses between 11:00 and 12:40 to the headquarters of the abductees. "This won't end until they come back and they don't come home!" the group said in a statement. In addition, the Sarona Market complex in Tel Aviv will also sit for 100 minutes, a complex that includes many restaurants, including "Miyazaki" by chef Yuval Ben Neria and "buffet" by chef Eyal Shani.
