The community of Markt Indersdorf honors the school helpers at a New Year's reception
Indersdorf - At the New Year's reception under the motto "Thanks to all school helpers - safety on the way to school" in Markt Indersdorf, Mayor Franz Obesser welcomed the volunteer school helpers who are active for the around 3,000 students in Indersdorf.
Since the 2011/12 school year, the deployment and training of school helpers has no longer been organized by the schools' parents' council, but by the administration in the town hall.
And so his thanks went to both the school helpers and everyone involved in the organization.
In his speech, Obesser emphasized the importance of school helpers as an essential part of a safe route to school.
Whatever the wind and weather, they made a significant contribution to this.
He was very relieved that he was also able to welcome to this group the school transport helper who had an accident and was injured in action last week (we reported).
At the moment there are around 30 active people, and since 1999 there have been a total of around 180 women and men who have taken on this responsible task - always with a smile on their lips and a kind word to give the children a good start to the day: Obesser raised them positive atmosphere created by the dedicated school helpers.
A lot has happened in the community in the last year and in his review the mayor once again highlighted the highlights and numbers that have determined community life.
Overview of community events
The information about the key allocations and district levy, which had recently become known (we reported), triggered a muted but certainly frightened reaction.
Finally, it was also new information for the many local councilors who attended the reception.
The difficulty is: “We are no longer reliable,” said Obesser.
If the announced reduction of 400,000 euros in key allocations had been known beforehand, the plans could have been adjusted accordingly.
But now the planning, which was already very “conservative”, has made progress.
In addition, there is also the increasing district levy.
Despite these financial challenges, Franz Obesser is confident: “Don’t complain for long, we’ll manage it somehow – somehow!” And anyone who wonders why the mayors are against a higher district levy, now “they know what that means: everyone Percentage point will mean up to 160,000 euros more for us.”
