Governor Rogelio Frigerio and his predecessor Gustavo Bordet, whose cabinet Landra was a member of, bid him farewell with heartfelt messages.

After several hours and in the absence of answers on his cell phone, the family notified the police, who began a search.
Investigators visited different homes until they finally found him in the middle of the road between Tabossi and Viale, about 50 kilometers east of Paraná, local media reported.
The body had been shot and was leaning against a tree.
Some close friends reported that the official was going through a mental depression.

Landra had been elected mayor of his town four times.
Later, he was Secretary of Transportation during the administration of Gustavo Bordet.
Last June he resigned from his position.
"As of today I close a stage of management, of struggle, of daily work, to return home; to my town, to the place where it all began, with a clear commitment to serve as an employee, in the Municipality of my beloved Tabossi" Landra announced.
