The leader of La France insoumise Jean-Luc Mélenchon on Tuesday January 30 described Prime Minister Gabriel Attal's general policy speech as
"the most reactionary speech in a century"
.
“Attal is very unhappy because the people refuse to admit that they live in paradise. He harshly punishes the ungrateful: suppression of the minimum wage, compulsory free work for the RSA, the most reactionary speech in a century,”
wrote Jean-Luc Mélenchon on X, while Gabriel Attal was in the middle of his speech at the Assembly.
“Attal wants to generalize by force economic liberalism which has already destroyed industry, agriculture, health, education. And 25 billion less in the budget for the country
,” he added in a second publication on the platform a few minutes later.
