While Paris 2024 has officially recovered the keys to the Olympic village, the development of the facilities which will accommodate 9,500 athletes and 5,000 attendants during the Olympics will be able to begin, five months before the Games.

If 1,000 athletes will sleep in hotels or in neighboring villages, such as in Lille and Marseille, the top time for the athletes' accommodation operation is well and truly underway.

The Cojo (Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games) has a total of 7,200 rooms, distributed in 3,000 apartments, which must be furnished before July 4.

The Organizing Committee will work “lot by lot, in order to bring together the different trades that will be involved,” explains Laurent Michaud, the village director.
