A wonderful day for the Israeli sailing in the world championship in sailing 470 mixed (team of woman and man) when Gil Cohen and Noam Materiali won the gold medal this afternoon (Saturday). The duo led the competition at the sailing site Wilmora in Portugal before cruising the medals and had to finish at least in seventh place to retain first place. Cohen and Homeri did it in style with a win even in the decisive cruise, where the score is double.

Along with Cohen and materials on the podium, Noa Lasri and Tal Sadeh also took part, the second Israeli team to take second place in the medal cruise and can be proud of the silver medal. Nitai Hasson and Sahar Tamir finished in seventh place.
