Chelsea FC remains undefeated in the Premier League under coach Thomas Tuchel, but still suffered a setback in the race for the Champions League ranks.
At newly promoted Leeds United, the Blues only managed a 0-0.
Chelsea have been unbeaten for 13 competitive games, in the last twelve games of this series Tuchel was on the sidelines as coach.
In a balanced game, both teams had the opportunity to take the lead early on: A failed attempt to clear the Leeds defense landed on their own crossbar (10th), on the other side Leeds offensive man Tyler Roberts also failed on the crossbar (15th).
Leeds' top scorer Patrick Bamford had to stop his 100th competitive game for the club a little later: The attacker injured himself in a duel with Chelsea defender Antonio Rüdiger and was replaced after 35 minutes, Rodrigo came back for the English.
Even after the break, Leeds made things evenly balanced.
For Chelsea, the former Leverkusen-based Kai Havertz failed with a shot at the well-reacting Leeds keeper Illan Meslier (48th), a few minutes later Chelsea goalkeeper Édouard Mendy prevented the deficit against Raphinha (55th) with his fingertips.
National striker Timo Werner played a joker in the final phase (69th), but was no longer able to cause a goal threat.
In the table, Chelsea remain in fourth place with 51 points, which entitles them to participate in the Champions League.
West Ham United (48 points), Everton FC (46 points) and Tottenham Hotspur (45 points) can still overtake the Londoners, the clubs have each played two games less.
Chelsea are already 17 points behind league leaders Manchester City.
Leeds are in eleventh place and are ten points ahead of the relegated places.
