Russian Daniil Medvedev qualified for the Australian Open final, the first of the four grand slams, by defeating Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas in three sets, 7-6, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.
Medvedev, ranked second in the world, reached the final of the tournament last year, also defeating Tsitsipas in the semi-finals, before losing to Serbian Novak Djokovic, who is excluded from this edition due to the issue of his refusal to receive the anti-Corona vaccine.
Medvedev will meet in the final with Spain's Rafael Nadal, fifth in the world, who beat Italy's Matteo Berrettini in four sets today.
