The French couple made an ideal start to the competition this Saturday afternoon in Beijing. They will come back for the free test on Monday in a big way

Introduction more than solid for Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron.

The pair of tricolor skaters entered the running this Saturday afternoon in Beijing.

They managed to assume their status as favorites and even better than that, they broke their own rhythm dance world record with a score of 90.83 points.

That is 80 hundredths better than their previous score.

The path to gold opens after this first step has been successfully completed.

In 2018, they were big favorites in the ice dance event, but their title hopes were dashed from their short dance following a clothing mishap when the choker that held the green fringed top and yellows of the skater had detached from the first seconds.
