It was hard work at the beginning: ASV Habach won the home game against DJK Waldram 2-1.
The ASV is still in the ascent race.
Habach – In the final sprint of the district league 1, ASV Habach is only up against top teams or teams from the bottom of the table.
The latter category includes DJK Waldram, against whom ASV won 2-1 on Saturday on their own pitch.
"It was a difficult game," said coach Markus Vogt.
In the first leg (0:2) he made his debut on the coaching bench with Andreas Hoiss.
"We had to switch at short notice because Maxi Nebl and Christian Radiske were out," reported Vogt.
"And Waldram put a lot of pressure on at first."
After another change in the middle of the first half – Vogt had Felix Habersetzer swap positions with Felix Zanger – the ASV engine started up.
Habersetzer then stormed alongside Benedikt Buchner while Zanger acted as playmaker.
"Felix and Benedikt did a very good job," said Vogt.
Both were in the starting XI together for the first time.
The change had an effect, the Waldramer pressure eased a bit.
Felix Zanger prepares the lead and scores the 2-0
After preliminary work by Zanger, Felix Habersetzer (27th) scored the 1-0 from 14 meters out.
Buchner (30') then missed the hosts' second goal.
Instead, it was Zanger (34') who headed in an exemplary cross from Tobias Habersetzer to make it 2-0.
The ASV defense got the guests better and better under control.
As a result, the DJK only had significant actions with standards.

After the break, Habach managed their lead cleverly.
Since the home side took little risk, chances remained scarce.
But nothing burned in front of their own box.
It only got exciting for a short time just before the end when ASV goalkeeper Tobias Radiske caused a penalty.
"It was rather doubtful," said Vogt about the penalty, which Simon Schmid (90th) sunk to score the goal.
The attempts of the guests to force the equalizer with wide balls brought nothing more.
