Less than a month after the announcement of the retirement of Olympic champion Linoy Ashram, the future generation is proving that there is someone to build on.

Daria Atmanov today (Sunday) won the gold in the bat and silver exercise in the film, Adi Katz Arad in the hoop and the Arad gymnastics team in the hoops exercise.

Only 16-year-old Atmanov achieved the gold in the bat exercise, having received a great score of 30,950 points and ahead of much more experienced rivals, including world championship medalists and gymnasts who competed in the Olympics. 

Later, Atmanov also participated in the final of the film, which she finished with the silver medal after receiving 29.2 points, while only Bulgaria's Boriana Klein preceded her with 29.750 points and finished seventh in the ball final with 29.750 points. 

The first final took place in the hoop, where the 18-year-old Katz, for whom this is the first international competition of the season, presented an impressive exercise and scored a score of 30,350 points, with only Italy's Sofia Rafali, a bronze medalist from the World Championships ahead of her with 34.9 points and gold and second place. With 31.450 points.

Katz also participated in the final of the film, and was ranked seventh with 29.250 points.

Israel's new artistic gymnastics team, which won a bronze in the opening of the competition in a multi-event, also added the bronze medal in the hoops exercise after receiving a score of 32.050 points.

Gold won the local team of Azerbaijan with 32.850 points and second Italy with 32.450 points.

In the combined exercise (films and balls) the team finished in sixth place with 23.8 points. 

The team includes Amit Hedvat, Diana Svertsov, Ofir Shaham, Rumi Paritzky, Shani Baknov and Hadar Friedman.

The Israeli delegation to Baku includes coaches Ayelet Sussman, Natalia Stepanova and Ida Meirin, as well as judges Regina Davidov and Ella Smolov, with physiotherapist Roni Shchori and head of the Natasha Asmolov delegation.
