A derby in the Olympic Stadium: TSV 1860 Munich and FC Bayern together for a good cause.

Hasan Ismaik's idea encounters obstacles.

There would be a solution.

Munich – It's been over 14 years since TSV 1860 and FC Bayern Munich faced each other on the pitch.

To put it more precisely: Since the DFB Cup quarter-finals on February 27, 2008, there hasn't been a duel between the two professional teams from Munich's biggest clubs.

For the good cause there should now be a derby again.

Hasan Ismaik surprisingly brought the idea into play: a city duel in the Olympic Stadium to collect money for the Ukraine aid.

A good suggestion, according to many, including ex-FCB President Uli Hoeneß.

In the summer there is unfortunately a scheduling conflict.

Ed Sheeran, Open Airs and Athletics: Olympic Stadium busy in summer - 1860 against FCB in autumn?

Open Airs, European Championships and now the track is renewed.

In the summer, the Olympic Stadium is fully booked, confirms Olympiapark München GmbH when asked.

"And after all, you also need a good lawn for a football game," says a spokesman. "Ed Sheeran will be performing three times in September.

After that, the turf has to be replaced.”

There won't be a derby in the Olympic Stadium before October.

But why not during the winter break?

It is to be hoped that the war in Ukraine will be over by then, but even then money will certainly be needed for victims and reconstruction aid.

In the good cause, even the big city rivals could unite.

And the press office of Olympiapark GmbH confirmed: "We would be happy if the clubs contacted us." Of course, the game would then have to take place without a World Cup participant.

TSV 1860 against FC Bayern Munich in the Allianz Arena?

Edelfan Wöll would stay at home

Although the Olympic Stadium is not the only sports facility in the state capital, it is probably the only one that should come into question for the benefit derby.

The Grünwalder stadium is equally busy and most Löwen fans shouldn't lose their way against a game in the Allianz Arena.

"I would go there," says Roman Wöll, for example, 1860 all-rounder: "It shouldn't be in the arena.

One could fear an ugly result, but it is also for a good cause.

But of course I don't go to the red castle anymore.

I'm not an arena opponent, but if everything is red there now."

Derby only in the Olympic Stadium?

1860 driver Fehling would "probably still go to the arena"

"Personally, I don't need it," says all-round driver Fritz Fehling, "I would go, even if I'm not keen on it."

It's for a good cause.

But all the trappings have to fit: If both are serious about it, you can do it.” He also answered the stadium question clearly, if not dogmatically: “The Olympic Stadium has to be the standard.

But I would probably still go to the arena.”

In FC Bayern Munich fan circles, the possible derby is discussed a little less heatedly.

Jan Placht from the "Miasanrot" fan club only says: "Any support for the Ukraine is good".
