Haaland change "will set new standards"

Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp has commented on the upcoming move from Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland to Manchester City.

"I know there's a lot of talk out there about money, but this transfer will set new standards, let me put it that way," Klopp said, referring to Liverpool's biggest competitor in the English Premier League on Sky Sports News.

Haaland is said to have already informed BVB about his move to Manchester and has reportedly also completed the medical check.

According to their own information, Dortmund had allowed the Norwegian to use the day off from training to “regulate personal matters”.

Haaland switched from Salzburg to Dortmund in early 2020 for 20 million euros.

He can leave the club for a fixed fee of 75 million euros in the summer.

Adeyemi to sign the contract in Dortmund

Dortmund seems to have found a future replacement in national player Karim Adeyemi.

According to Sky, the 20-year-old traveled to Dortmund on Tuesday for a medical check and contract signing.

The transfer was previously only considered a formality.

"I'm assuming that we'll make progress with Karim this week," said Borussia Dortmund's licensed player boss Sebastian Kehl on Sunday.

Adeyemi made his debut for the German national team last September.

The attacker has played a total of three senior internationals so far.

The fee for Adeyemi should be between 30 and 40 million euros.

RBs Laimer

does not rule out farewell this year

Konrad Laimer, allegedly courted by Bayern Munich, does not rule out an early departure from RB Leipzig.

»You should ask yourself every summer what the next step is for you personally.

I'm a guy who is very ambitious, who wants to play for everything at some point," said the Austrian national player in the podcast "Kicker meets DAZN".

A decision should only be made after the DFB Cup final on May 21 against SC Freiburg.

"It's important to focus on the here and now because there's no point worrying about anything else if you're not done here," said the 24-year-old midfielder.

Klose in Kaiserslautern in conversation

At third division club 1. FC Kaiserslautern there is great confusion about the position of head coach Marco Antwerpen.

As several media reports, a possible replacement of the 50-year-old was discussed on Monday before the relegation games against Dynamo Dresden (May 20 and 24).

So far, there has been no statement from the four-time German champions.

The coach himself does not want to know anything about a separation and expects to remain in office: "I assume so," he said of the "Rheinpfalz".

Ex-national player Miroslav Klose is also being discussed as a possible successor to Antwerp.

The "Express" had reported that the name of Klose had made the rounds on the edge of the Palatinate's 2-0 defeat at Viktoria Cologne.

The regional investor group, which holds 33 percent of the shares in the FCK corporation, is said to want to install Klose as an Antwerp replacement.

However, the "Bild-Zeitung" reports that the idea of hiring Klose as a coach has already been rejected.

VfL Wolfsburg extend contract with Icelander Jonsdottir

The new German champions VfL Wolfsburg have extended the contract with the Icelandic international Sveindis Jonsdottir until 2025.

VfL had already signed the 20-year-old offensive player in December 2020, then loaned her to the Swedish club Kristianstads DFF for a year and then brought her to Wolfsburg during this season.

"If you consider that Sveindis has not previously played in an absolute top league, it is really surprising what development she has gone through in the last few weeks and months," said sporting director Ralf Kellermann.

"It's particularly impressive how she has demonstrated her qualities at the highest level in the Champions League."

1. FC Köln brings American Daughetee

From the coming season, the soccer players of the Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln will be strengthened by the American Genessee Daughetee, who last played for Dijon FCO in France until 2021.

The 29-year-old full-back signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2024.

Daughetee is the fourth new signing for the FC women.

The Rhinelanders had previously strengthened with Lotta Cordes, Andrea Gavric and Sarah Puntigam.
