The second team of FC Moosinning is in the district league.

With a 2:1 (1:1) against SC Kirchdorf, which now has to take the bitter path down to the district class, the yellow-blacks have achieved history - and they give the community a double promotion.

Schwaig/Moosinning – As is well known, SV Eichenried has already made it into the district league.

The hero of the evening in Schwaig was Marco Esposito, who equalized Kirchdorf's lead with a free kick in the first half and also sunk the ball into the goal to make it 2-1 five minutes before the end of the game.

848 spectators formed a magnificent backdrop for the game, and things really got going right away.

Thomas Hadler served Daniel Schuhmann, but Moosinnings keeper Tobi Pfanzelt had no trouble with the shot.

At the other end, Maxi Henneberger unsuccessfully tried a low shot from the right, and shortly afterwards Henneberger passed to Manuel Gröber, who got caught on a defensive leg.

Marco Esposito celebrates his second - and ultimately decisive - goal.

In the 12th minute, Moosinning had a hundred percent on his foot, Gröber passed inside from the left, but Henneberger pushed the ball past the empty goal.

Kirchdorf also remained dangerous, but a Joshua Marx header from a corner sailed just over the goal.

In the 17th minute, Todi Auerweck had a free shot on the left, but keeper Johann Maier saved to a corner.

After the teams had more or less neutralized themselves in midfield, the Kirchdorfer were suddenly allowed to celebrate in the 25th minute: Moosinning's defense was not well organized after a throw-in, Joshua Marx passed the ball low to Daniel Schuhmann, and he sank the ball directly ten meters to the right in the Moosinninger Kasten.

Moosinning covered the deficit well, and in the 33rd minute the yellow-blacks missed another top opportunity when the ball landed in front of Gröber's feet after a free kick, but he failed from close range to keeper Maier.

A minute later, however, the equalizer: Gröber was fouled 20 meters from the goal, Esposito took the measure and more than slyly he converted the free kick under the high wall to equalize 1:1.

Almost in return, Kirchdorf could have taken the lead again, but keeper Pfanzelt and Lukas Eschbaumer joined forces to clear Thomas Hadler.

The second half initially belonged more to the Kirchdorfers, who fought doggedly for every centimeter and also came up with one or the other half-chance.

Andreas Abstreiter's free-kick was denied by Pfanzelt, Daniel Schuhmann aimed a long-range shot a little too high and a Hadler header went over it.

The time for changes began, and suddenly the FCM got a better grip on what was happening on the offensive.

The lively Basti Michalak served Henneberger on the right, but his pass to the middle found no takers.

When Michalak put the ball just over the crossbar after a solo in the 85th minute, there were many indications that extra time was to be played, but only a minute later Moosinning had another one in his quiver: Henneberger fitted in sharply from the right, and it landed from Abkampfer's knee The ball hit the crossbar of their own goal, Esposito reacted the quickest and pushed the ball over the line to make it 2-1.

Kirchdorf was defeated.

Zeno Fendt, who pushed the ball past the empty goal from a long distance, and Stefan Erl, whose shot was blocked by Severin Reinmoser just before the line, missed another goal in added time.

It didn't matter to the Moosinningers, because after the final whistle all the dams broke and the players were able to celebrate a success they had never expected before the start of the season.

A long night of partying followed.
