Extremely rare fact: on the eve of the race which should start this Saturday at 4 p.m. for a big lap of the clock, the marshals of the 24 Hours of Le Mans excluded Philippe Cimadomo, a 62-year-old driver whom they did not consider fit to rubbing shoulders with the 61 other teams involved in the biggest motoring event in the world.

A succession of incidents during the tests convinced the organizers of the 90th edition that this veteran, lacking experience at the highest level, was exposing his safety and that of others.
