In Rabat, the capital of Morocco, a cooperation agreement was signed today (Tuesday) between the Israeli and Moroccan basketball associations.
The agreement was signed by union chairman Amiram Halevi and Moroccan association president Mustafa Awrach.
The exciting event took place at the Moroccan Ministry of Sports in the presence of Minister Chakib Benemusa, Israeli Ambassador to Morocco David Guvrin and FIBA World President Artist Niang Malio. Dozens of journalists attended the gala event and all sports leaders in Morocco.
Minister Benamosa said: "It is a great honor for me to host this important and historic class. This agreement is part of the strong and stable relations between Morocco and Israel. Sport is an important thing in building relations between the peoples and we will bring patience and promotion with it."
Mustafa Awrach added: "The signing of this agreement will lead to very important cooperation between the two countries and the two associations. The two associations and the two countries will benefit from this agreement."

Amiram Halevi thanked the hosts for the extraordinary welcome and open heart and added that thanks to the excellent personal relationship, the cooperation will also be successful and the agreement will move from the paper to the field.
The emphasis of the agreement will be on promoting coaches, because without good coaches it is impossible to succeed.
We will hold meetings and joint camps, especially in women's basketball, which the two associations want to promote.
Finally, Halevy added that he invites the heads of basketball in Morocco to Israel.
