Munich - Nikita Mazepin - fired before the season due to his father's connections to Russian President Putin - taunts former teammate Mick Schumacher.

Mick Schumacher: Ex-colleague follows

In an interview with the Russian newspaper

Championat

, Nikita Mazepin was asked about his former teammate Mick Schumacher, among other things.

The Russian doesn't have a lot of words for the German.

"I would say the results speak for themselves," Mazepin said, saying nothing more.

In fact, a statement that cannot be dismissed out of hand, most recently Schumacher even threatened to be kicked out of Formula 1. There is therefore no question whether criticism is justified.

Very well, however, by whom it should be uttered.

And whether Nikita Mazepin, who mostly finished behind his teammate last year, has the necessary reputation is at least questionable.

Mick Schumacher receives support from Sebastian Vettel

Whose words, on the other hand, should carry significantly more weight are those of a former world champion.

Sebastian Vettel defends Schumacher and primarily opposes the statements made by Haas team boss Günther Steiner.

The South Tyrolean defended his criticism of Schumacher after the crash in Monaco and the again pointless race in Baku.

A repetitive criticism that seems to have pissed off Vettel.

"Criticism is also justified in this respect.

But you can't always just hit it, you have to say when something went well," Vettel told

Bild

.

The Heppenheimer also refers to his own experiences in the racing series and particularly denounces the fact that Schumacher needs support within the team right now.
