At the district championship in tandem, the Upper Bavarian bowlers fought exciting duels.

This time Frischauf Weilheim had a special reason to be happy.

Waldkraiburg - Two titles and three more podium places - the Upper Bavarian championship in the "Tandem" discipline was quite successful for the women and men from the "Zugspitze" sports cone circle.

In the title fights, held on the SKV Waldkraiburg track, there were quite a few surprises in the individual classes.

For the first time in a long time, the siblings Regina Resch (Schwarz-Gelb Schongau) and Ramona Resch (SKK Seeshaupt)

had to give way to another duo in the

women's team competition.

Sabrina Kießlich and Brigitte Schwaiger (both SV Wacker Burghausen) secured the gold medal with 329 wood.

Regina and Ramona Resch won silver with 318 wood.

The decisive factor in the duel for the title was the third round: The Burghausen women scored 80 wood, while the Resch siblings scored 70 wood.

Frischauf Weilheim wins gold twice in tandem

The game was played 4 x 30 throws for clearing.

The wood numbers at the district championships were well below those played at the championship of the "Zugspitze" district in Weilheim.

This is not necessarily because the participants played worse.

Bowling results are highly dependent on the lane.

In the

men's

competition , there was a kind of revenge.

There, as in the district preliminary decision (we reported), a duo from Gut Holz Eberfing and a duo from Frischauf Weilheim took first place.

This time, however, the people from Weilheim had the upper hand: Thomas Sepp and Stefan Schwinghammer (both from Frischauf Weilheim) won the gold medal with 341 wood and thus also qualified for the Bavarian championship.

Silver medal for Gut Holz Eberfing

The silver medal went to Hubert Resch and Alois Kriesmair (331) from Gut Holz Eberfing.

Last year, the two had won bronze at Oberbayern level.

Looking back, it was the second round this year that made the difference: Sepp/Schwinghammer made up 16 wood on their direct competitors (88:72).

It didn't help Resch/Kriesmair that both had produced by far the fewest misses (only six).

Max Dreisser (Frischauf Weilheim), together with Rudolf Schmidberger (Münchner Kegel-Verein), missed the bronze place by just five woods, which a duo from SKV Waldkraiburg took with 305 wood.

Robert Leonhart/Leo Obholzer (Schwarz Blau Burggen/299) and Karlheinz Kölsch/Erich Liebl (Frischauf Weilheim/291) were also within striking distance of third place.

Weilheim duo wins in mixed tandem

The mixed teams

were similar to the men

: At the end of the district championship, a duo was at the top, which had to give way to others in the championships in the "Zugspitze" district.

Angelika Wagner and Markus Mühlberger (Frischauf Weilheim) were ahead of everyone else in Waldkraiburg with 332 wood.

The third-placed in the preliminary district decision shone in the third round with 99 wood and thus gained decisive ground.

Ramona Resch and Kriesmair - the best in the district - took second place with 320 wood, which also gave them the qualification for the Bavarian championship.

Unlike two weeks ago, Regina Resch and her father Hubert Resch did not win a medal this time.

With 311 wood, the duo just missed out on bronze.

Ramona Wasmaier (SV Mehring) and Manuel Brosig (SKV Waldkraiburg) took it.

Both came to 313 wood.

In the second round they had scored 107 wood - it was the best single lane result of the championship.
