Ingenried – The final shooting of the 10th Schönach Shooting in the fully occupied multi-purpose hall in Ingenried held what the many visitors and the organizers had expected.

Numerous exciting duels made for varied competitions.

It took more than three hours before the winners of the three competitions were determined.

In the youth category, where air rifles were used in this age group, Marie Waldmann from SV Schwabniederhofen surprisingly won.

Bernhard Häringer from Schwabsoien made the race in the air rifle class and Tannenberg Michael Holderried won the competition with the air pistol.

10. Schönach Shooting attracted many spectators

The visitors had taken their places in the multi-purpose hall, Ingenried's marksman Markus Hack moderated and led through the evening, and the hard-working helpers of the association made sure that everything went smoothly and that the physical well-being was taken care of.

So everything was fixed.

After each round, the eliminated shooters received their cash prizes, and the winners received a gift basket put together by the local village shop.

Ingenried's marksman was visibly happy about the great popularity.

The youth made the beginning.

However, it was not the big favorite Magdalena Lang from SV Schwabniederhofen that won the race, but the smallest and youngest in the field, 13-year-old Marie Waldmann, asserted herself in front of her club colleague after the final four rounds of the competition.

Marie Waldmann provides a surprise

Laura Waldmann completed the Schwabniederhofen top trio in third place.

"I was a bit nervous," said Marie Waldmann, who was described as very lively by her local marksman Markus Demmler.

"I didn't expect to win here," admitted the girl, who picked up an air rifle for the first time at the age of nine and was delighted with her success.

"Up to fifth place, I didn't expect more," said Marie Waldmann with a smile on her face.

The further ranking in the youth: 4th Anika Preisinger (Sachsenried), 5th Sophia Kreuzer (Ingenried), 6th Anna Lang (Schwabniederhofen), 7th Michael Knittel (Ingenried), 8th Hannah Dolp (Sachsenried), 9th Sina Endrass (Sachsenried), 10. Sophia Knopp (Hohenfurch).

In the rifle class, Bernhard Häringer showed nerves of steel and accuracy up to the last shot.

Even if he was lucky in between, for example with his 8.3 points in the third round, that one of his competitors achieved an even lower result.

In the decisive duel against Schwabsoien's Susanne Feneberg, however, he again convinced with a 10.1, while the opponent missed the decisive shot and only got 7.0 points.

Third place went to Michael Vosta.

The man from Schwabniederhofen presented consistently strong results, but in the end he failed with a 6.2.

Bad luck: Lea Demmler (Schwabniederhofen), who had qualified with the best result, was unable to compete in the final shooting due to a corona infection. who knows that his daughter likes such a competition format.

Further placings in the air rifle class: 4th Hans Meßmer (Schwabniederhofen), 5th Bettina Stolle (Schwabniederhofen), 6th Eva Breitschädel (Schwabbruck), 7th Magdalena Strommer (Altenstadt), 8th Alexander Seiband (Schwabsoien), 9th .Christian Lang (Schwabniederhofen), 10.Markus Erhard (Ingenried).

Matthias Holderried from Tannenberg was the favorite in the air pistol class, but it was his younger brother who threw a spanner in the works.

Michael Holderried ultimately won the brothers' duel with 10.2 points, Matthias was at a disadvantage with a 9.8.

Third was Hohenfurcher Hermann Helmschrott, who retired after a 9.5.

"At least I made it into the medals," said Hohenfurcher, who also competes for Peiting.

The other results in the air pistol competition: 4th Michael Redl (Tannenberg), 5th Thomas Landes (Altenstadt), 6th Robert Waldmann (Schwabniederhofen), 7th Alexander Seiband (Schwabsoien), 8th Helmut Seiband (Schwabsoien), 9th .Sebastian Stegherr (old town), 10.Johann Fischer (Schwabbruck).
