The "Miners" made a committed appearance in the guest performance at Primus Miesbach.

But away games are not to their liking at the moment.

Peißenberg

– The nearly 600 spectators in the Bavarian league guest appearance of the Peißenberg “Miners” at TEV Miesbach were offered a game well worth seeing.

In contrast to the first leg, which TEV won 3-2 in detention, the second meeting ended after regular time.

The leader of the table prevailed against the "Miners" with 6:3 (1:1, 3:2, 2:0).

"It was our turn, but unfortunately it wasn't enough," said Peißenberg's coach Sepp Staltmayr.

Peißenberg's coach Staltmayr satisfied with his team's performance

“We were very satisfied with the performance and appearance.

The boys accepted the duels, went at a high pace and played aggressively," said Staltmayr, who had little reason to criticize.

But what could definitely be improved: the exploitation of chances.

"Especially in the first third we missed a few top-class chances," said Staltmayr.

In the last third, his team also missed a penalty.

Both goalkeepers are often the center of attention at first

A fast-paced game developed from the start, in which both goalkeepers were often the center of attention.

Miesbach's Anian Geratsdorfer destroyed the guests' first chances before Dejan Vogl overcame him to make it 1-0 for the "Miners" (11th).

The joy of the more than 100 Peißenberg fans who traveled with them was short-lived.

After the guests lost a disc on the blue line, Nick Endress converted the subsequent counterattack to make it 1:1 (13th).

In the middle third, Peißenberg twice compensated for a Miesbach lead

In the middle of the second third things really got going.

Thomas March put the Miesbacher in front after winning a face-off with the pawn trick (29th).

However, the “Miners” immediately equalized with a backhand hit from Denis Degenstein (32nd).

Endress again gave the home side the lead again to 3:2 (34th) after a one-off action – at this point one player from both teams was in the penalty box.

But this score didn't last long either.

A remarkable individual action was completed by Peißenberg's captain Martin Andrä with the 3:3 (37th).

However, the “Miners” did not bring this result into the dressing room.

Because the TSV defense didn't get down to business consistently enough, Miesbach's Stefano Rizzo was free in front of TSV goalie Korbinian Sertl and overcame him to make it 4:3 (39th).

After a foul on Dejan Vogl, Derek Mecrones awarded a penalty for Peißenberg

In the final round, after a foul on Dejan Vogl, the referees decided on a penalty for Peißenberg (42nd).

However, on this promising opportunity to equalize again, Derek Mecrones was denied by Geratsdorfer.

By then, Brett Mecrones was off the ice.

"He was ailing and we didn't want to risk anything," reported Staltmayr.

For his team, however, things got worse.

After the missed penalty, Ales Furch increased the lead to 5:3 for Miesbach (44th).

"The goal was the crux of the matter," admitted Staltmayr.

His men then tried in vain to score the goal.

Instead, Felix Feuerreiter finally made everything clear with his goal to make it 6:3 in the TSV box that was already empty at the time (58th).

Peißenberg on Friday with a home game against Erding

The Peißenbergers don't have much time to get angry about their fourth away defeat in a row.

This Friday (December 30th) the game continues with a home game against the Erding "Gladiators" (8 p.m.).

After the signing of Czech striker Tomas Plihal at the beginning of December, the guests began to soar (five wins in a row), which only ended last Wednesday with the 6-1 defeat in Königsbrunn.

In the guest game against the second in the table, the Erdingers were missing not only Plihal but also the second foreigner, the Finn Roni Rukajärvi.

"Erdinger still have a very compact team, it will be a very difficult task," says Staltmayr.

Nevertheless, he hopes that his team can continue to build on their good home record against their neighbors in the table - nine wins in eleven games.
