Bnei Herzliya actress Sandy Cohen, who was hospitalized 10 days ago due to a health problem and underwent successful chest surgery, was discharged Tuesday. The club will continue to accompany Sandy through the rehabilitation process, with a recovery time of about eight weeks and he has ended the season, the team announced today.
Prof. David Shitrit, Director of the Pulmonary Department at Meir Medical Center of the Clalit Group: "Cohen was admitted due to a spontaneous chest event that manifested itself in acute shortness of breath that required surgical intervention. After surgery, there was a complete improvement in lung function and condition. I'm happy to update that he'll be able to play basketball again and continue to be great the way he is."

I want to thank my partner who came especially to Israel and helped me a lot. It is also important for me to thank the entire Israeli basketball community and Bnei Herzliya – the club staff, players and fans for all the support and love I received, it is not taken for granted, the club did everything to help me during these difficult times and I appreciate it very much. I am now leaving the hospital and starting a rehabilitation process with the aim of returning to playing basketball as soon as possible - I am already looking forward to returning to the courts and I will do everything to return as best as possible."
