Two men, who present themselves as marabouts, will be judged, Monday, August 26, by the court of Angers, for fraud. They had a check. The banker gave the alert.
The two marabouts came three times to the home of this elderly couple, whose man is seriously ill. His wife, desperate to see the helpless medicine, decides to turn to ancillary ways.
She contacts two men who claim to be marabouts. Three times they visit him. To thank them, the lady gives them checks. The two men refuse and then end up taking them.
Custody
The two suspects end up taking a check of more than 8 000 €. According to the parquet of Angers, this sum would have been used to buy drugs impossible to find in France.
The two men claimed the money in cash, explaining to their "client" that they will return the check once the money is in their possession. Very badly took them since it is the banker of the lady, intrigued by the amount of the withdrawal, who alerted the police.
The two men will be judged in immediate appearance, Monday, August 26, by the court of Angers. For the time being, they have been placed in pre-trial detention.
